It's not to say that it's impossible, a fairly common modification among Fiero owners is the swap for a northstar. Its a load of work any way you put it largely just because it's an engine swap. If you were planning on it, do it, just make sure you do all the research.

HaHaHaHa yea right!!
That engine is soo long!!
You'd have to cut your car apart just to fit it in there!!
I doubt its much more work than a 3100/3400/3800 swap...

Except that the 3100, 3400, and 3800 are V6. A V8 would be longer, and the V6s are tight as it is.
Their not that much shorter than the northstar specifically. The northstar is small for a V8.

the approximate weight of a cavalier is 3700 lbs, and the weight of a fox body mustang is about 3300 lbs so why would you even want to put a v8 in a cavalier.

I can't imagine why anyone would want that........
Who wants a fox body mustang?????
Sulu: We've entered orbit Captain.
Kirk: Lets go see what's down there. Scotty, Bones, Spock.....Ensign Smith.
Smith: Oh, crap.

What are you smoking!? The LN2s wouldn't run below a 20 second 1/4 mile if they weighed that much!

i guess a cavi would weight 3700lbs if you loaded it up with a bunch of fat chicks. why would anyone want more power from their car, man what are we thinking!
SMILE!! YOUR ON CAMERA
its funny that your buddy said that cause ive kicked the idea around but i decided that it would be cooler to convert to rwd and rb26dett swap it
check the photos section it's been done.
this thread makes me laugh now
and from the looks of the thread in P&M there wasnt
THAT much work done to it (compared to other swaps)
