a long time ago i relied to a topic.... and no longer have interest in hearing about it.... i get emails all the time when people post there... in my email i get a link that says click here to stop being notified... i click it and it just takes me to the thread itself... but i continue to get notified in the future...

am i missing something here? i have looked and looked... some one please help me make it stop!!!

go to the post and at the bottom where you type in your reply, right above the spell check button, unclick the box that says email me replies to this thread

You can do that without submitting another post? and if so, can you also subscribe to threads which you hadn't before without posting simply by checking the box at the bottom?

In the e-mail you receive, there is an unsubscribe link.

Well thank you all for pointing that out to me.... but the problem is that NONE OF THAT WORKS!!!!

i think i explained that clicking on the "unsubcsribe link" in the email just takes me to the post.... and nothing more...

and if you look.... the check box is ALWAYS unchecked by default. So you cant UN-Check something that isnt checked....

and no.... even if you send another reply, and you LEAVE the box unchecked.... replies contiue to be emailed.

The email link is the only way i can find to do this..... and it doesnt work. at least not for this situation... in the past it has worked for me.... but this thread keeps coming back!!!

the link will take you back to the thread, but should also unsubscribe you from it

I would first clear your browser cache, then click said link.
