I have a 86 sunbird gt turbo and I would like to know what other transmissions will work for this car. I can't find any performance clutch kits for the 4 speed muncie.

did you happen to type it into google maybe? I typed it and had like 500 results, it literally took me 15 seconds to get all of those results. By the way i just types "4spd muncie clutch kits".

Thanks for giving a reply, but the four speed muncie that you found results on does not fit j-bodys. That four speed muncie came in the corvette, camaro and other 70's muscle cars my muncie is the m17 or m19 front wheel drive different spline and diameter clutches

you may have better luck in the first and second gen forums...

There are three transmissions for your engine

Automatic (3 speed)
Isuzu (for the n/a 2.0)
Getrag/muncie (2.0 turbo) ... --- HM-282 - Getrag 5 speed (RPO:MG2) ---

so it looks like you already have the best transmission
