Need help with Parts for 2003 Cavalier
Friday, May 09, 2008 10:41 AM
Anyone know of any good, Headers, intake, complete exhuast, intake manifold, fuel injectors, ignition kit, guages/guage pod, spark plugs? I am looking at getting all these parts ASAP, but am not sure what brand to go with, or is it even worth getting all these parts. I will be looking at purchasing all these parts at the same time. Can anyone provide me any advice and also give me an estimate of hp gains with all of these parts that will be installed on the 2003 Chevy cavalier LS sport coupe 2.2? Today is Friday and I am looking at getting these parts by Tuesday and installed by next Friday. All advice is welcome. Please post back. thanks.

You should find some helpful things here, he supports the org, and its clients. Excellent guy to do bidness with.

http://www.allecotec.com/

Also try his other site (carcustoms) for cavalier things, not just eco things....I dont think you will need injectors unless you are going forced induction...youll gain a few horses with everything...maybe 20 ish, but cant give you any type of real number.

You will not need injectors, your stock ones will be plenty with N/A mods. The only full exhaust for our cars is custom made by exhaust shops. The only intake manifold that i have seen for the 2.2 ecotec is the factory intake mani is off the 2.4 ecotec, but you will lose power unless your running high rpms, which you will not be. RKsport sells upgraded springs for ignition, but other than that there is the full MSD conversion. With the MSD you have to buy the parts separately and do it yourself, but again your stock ignition will be fine.

Out of everything you listed the only thing that will be worth getting is the header/full exhaust and a intake.

What is your horsepower goal? The GM supercharger will reliably put you up to 200hp. If you want more you can get the Hahn Racecraft turbo kit, which will but you at 230hp i believe. But you will have the potential to obtain higher hp numbers with a turbo kit.

And for more info on the stuff i mentioned, SEARCH!!!!!!!!!!
