i own a 98 sunfire gt and the problems wont stop from steering rack to engine and tranny rear turn signal all kinds of other problems. i was wondering if anyone could tell me abit about my car??? im reading ld9 2200 and so on and so on r those different types of engine for cavi vs sunfire or what i would like to get a new engine for my car but like i said IM NEW and dont know enough about my car to get one preferably a ecotec 2.4 but really dont matter right now also has anyone got a few tips for changing the steering rack cuz i know that will be my next project thanx for your time
as far as the steering goes.....i have no idea. but if your looking to do alot of engine mods go for the 2.4 eco. if your looking for overall reliability go with the 2.2 eco out of the 03-05 cavs
2.4 Ecotec in your car is much harder than you willing to do...also no has done it yet...
Get a new LD9 and a new trans.
Or do an L61 2.2 Ecotec swap. there are posts here and on www.ecotecforums.net to help.
