Cavalier Speedometer Cluster
Wednesday, September 24, 2008 9:16 AM
I have an 01 Cavalier and I recently cracked the cluster plastic and would like to replace the whole cluster.

My ODO in in KM/H and all I can get is a MP/H ODO.

Are MP/H clusters compatable with KM/H cars?

How will the ODO millage display?
Please advise.

i dont see why not. other than the mph numbers being the main numbers and the kmh being the smaller ones.

all 00+ js have the milage stored in the bcm so when you swap out your cluster, it will still read the correct milage

speaking as someone who only sees the mph, it'd be weird to have to look at the mph numbers small because the main numbers were mkh. i'd be going the wrong speed all the damned time. you might want to consider looking around a little more for a kmh speedo.

GO PATS!!!

The odometer would be screwy, not sure how, but it was a big hurdle for Alex @ Blackcatcustom. He put 140mph overlays on canadian 220kmh cluster and had to reprogram the odometer to read miles instead of KMs.
