hi, i looked on ebay and they sell bomz underdrive pullys for like 60$ i was searching threw forums and there is no real answer if there good or not just a few there ok.. or that. is it worth the 60$ cause the unorthodox ones are a 121$. like if the bomz are any good will they almost give me the same power as the unorthodox ones? and will they last longer then a year with out dueing harm to my engine or that? thxs
as a saftey precaution, i would never buy ANYTHING that my engine would rely on off of ebay. its all very cheaplly made, and not trustable (generally). if its something your car needs (suspention, brakes, engine parts) i would not buy it off of ebay. your driving this car, and putting your life in the hands of something made in a sweatshop for nickles an hour. the only parts i would safely puchase from ebay, would be visual mods

Get all the parts you need in a pile, and drive the car into it.
They will find their way into the correct places.

wow do you honestly believe that? you do know that ebay doesnt make car parts right? if you know what your looking for you can find great deals on ebay. just because something is on ebay doesnt mean its cheap. i guess the $1300 tein ss that are on ebay are cheap too huh?
ok you both sorta make sence but still missing the question. the pully is made by bomz racing. thats a ok name in products. they make good seats and ok intakes i herd. so is the underdrive pully good? or is it like the other guy sad unsafe beacuse it a el cheapo?

im not talking about stuff that other people are selling. private parties. im talking about companies that only sell stuff on ebay USSUALLY have a reputation for making shoddy stuff. Bomz is not a name i've heard of. i looked on their website and it looks like it would be ok.

First Hello, and welcome to JBO.
BOMZ is not a company that I would buy a pulley from. The BOMZ pulley I purchased for research did not fit correctly, and was not even close to balanced. It also was made from a soft material that would gouge from the seal that the pulley goes through on the timing cover of a LD9 motor. The same motor that is in your Sunfire GT.
If you do not have a large stereo system, and want an under driven pulley, I would either go with
Unorthodox Racing or
RKSport.
Also
How to install crank pulley...
You can also use an quad 4 HO crank pulley...GM part #24573264.....but GM no longer makes them so the junk yard is your only bet.
If you want a stock diameter one. Look around in the classifieds for one that I have sold.
My Ld9 crank pulley Group purchase..but I am sold out at the moment.
Just, please do not buy the BOMZ.
