found your site and a lot of very very useful info on here, I am sure I will enjoy my stay. I bought a 1996 Z24 in feb, 2008, I have been toying with it a little, I love it! Why didn't I buy a cavy earlier lol. Here r some pics of her, I haven't done ne performace mods, other than intake, I am getting a cross flow exhaust put on after I replace the motor in a month.

also b4 I put my new engine in is there ne thing I should add performance wise b4 it goes it? ne thoughts?

funny, sorry Shifted. I am just used to typing like that on here cause I play alot of on line games. Anyways my motor is coming on monday and I have about a month to play with it. I am getting the same motor, same year with half of the kms on it, its only got 100,000kms mine right now has 345,000. Just wondering some things that I could do to it that arn't mega expencive, bigger throttle boday? cams? manifold? I am gonna keep searching the site anyways. See you around.

Yeah I am not a big audio guy but that is a nice subtle setup.

Welcome.

I would do a search for the LD9 which is what you have there are quite a few performance options for that engine. It all depends on where you want to go with it and what your budget is.

Search it will give you everything you need.

first off: Welcome and enjoy the forums! Best forum for info in my opinion hands down!

second off: since we like 2 seem 2 keep people in the right direction on representing the J's! (bottom line tho; its your car. do what u like/want) do the following......

get the fabric in the trunk redone 2 match the car more.
do the fabric on the door panels black!
get some new (black) carpet
paint the tan = black!
have the trunk carpet redone. (black)
remove the front plate, add filler panel!
debadge emblem on hood.
remove side moldings......................

just a list 2 start with. but again. i can just stfu!

that wasn't my question lol, but now that you mention it those will definitly be on my list of things to do! I made my sub enclosure so I will be able to change the fabric, I tried to match but I didnt like any of the material where I was, so I bought that crap

as for my engine; I was thinking about a throttle body spacer. I read mixed reviews about them, but I am will to waste 20-40 bucks just to see for myself. Mabe a bigger throttle body might be the way to go, or cams? headers? cat back? there is so many options to do performance wise; I need to find a thread where it gives a list of things to do in order!

The only things a throttle body spacer will be good for is to tap for nitrous. Other than that, you are not going to see any performance gains from a 1 inch thick piece of aluminum between your throttle body and intake manifold lol.

If you are looking for somewhat easy and not too expensive performance, I would suggest starting with a full exhaust and go from there wherever your budget takes you.

You definitely have a clean start there. I know that Mr. Redbadged gave you some Ideas, and although you didn't ask for them, I will too lol.

If the car were mine(which it isn't, I know, so just take this all with a grain of salt or just plain ignore me if you wish lol):
-Not paint all the random removable interior pieces red, but maybe it wouldn't look bad if you did the lower half of the dash the same as the lower door pannels, to keep a nice flow across from side to side(and it would get rid of that nasty tan!)
-Paint the lower half of the console and get black carpet would be a good way to round up the interior too.
-Get rid of the tails. I am sure you bought them because you like them, but I can assure you, coming from someone who owned a clean bright red Cav, Stock tails look great on there.
-A nice subtle drop cleans up any car nicely!
-Just a precaution, I would remove those speaker grilles in the back window and any performance or audio stickers. They just SCREAM "break in and steal my stuff"

That is all I have to add this morning.

Thanks for the comments on my trunk people! JLAudio, I took your advice on the exhaust...on friday I am getting my cat back done, for the mufflers, I chose Dynamax Turbos, they sound sweet, not ricy, but a growl of sorts with a 4 banger lol. here is a pic of my new motor I dressed it up a little, still got to do some more.

Hey thanx Matt, took a little elbow grease, but I got her shinning! I was thinking about chroming the trottle body to match my chrome intake, you think? I would Like to buy a new intake maninfold, and advantages to that? or would I have to get a larger throttle body? the new exhast is goin on her today, I will take some pics later when it is complete.

If I was you I'd find a set of secret cams to put in before you swap engines. Its 100X easier with the engine out.
