Hey guys. I found a base model 2004 Chevy Cavalier white 4 door sedan 5 speed near me for a decent price. I have been looking for the longest time for an ecotec powered J-body and all I was orignally coming across were coupes. However with my job I really did want another sedan. Well I came across this one and I am pretty happy. The car has 89K and it is perfect shape. He listed the car at $3,400 due to moving to this area and not wanting to deal with transferring the car over to PA for himself from the other state. I most likely am going to take a look at the car tomorrow and I wanted to know what kind of price should I try to offer him? I was going to see if he take $3,000 or less being I am going to have to deal with getting the car inspected/emissions for PA right away. Also being the car has 89K do i need to worry about doing the timing chain already? I have heard its wise to replace it from 80 to 100K. I just hate to get the car and have it break on me. Is there anything I should look out for when I look at this car tomorrow?
