So. Yeah. New guy.

Hello. I just bought a 2001 z24. Anything I should watch for, or that you fine folks know right off the top of your head needs to be done? Not really looking to mod much, just debadge and maybe an intake/exhaust. I traded a b18 turbo Civic hatch for it, hopefully don't regret it too much.......Thanks...

Turbo B18 Civic. hmm. I demand pics. lol (of both the Honda and Cavy)
Just don't rice it out man. Debadge, throw an LS Sport lip kit on it (if it doesn't have one already...) nice rims, and drop it. Personally, I love the clean, OEM look.

Can do man. I've got easily 500 pics of the Civ, just got the Cavalier, but I'm sure I can snap a few after work. Really just wanted something not boosted. Might look at a supercharger at some point, but for now, nah.

you and me both,
everything on mine looks stock, outside of lower, eventually new rims and tires, and a head unit.
other things you won't see with the hood closed or without getting down under the car.

good luck,

ditto with the pics.

cheers

I forsee the "I wish I'd kept the Honda." in the future. The j's are a lil more expensive to mod than a honda.

I wished I'd kept the Honda before I even finished the paperwork. Just can't deal with a boosted DD anymore. It's too much to handle 70 miles one way to work.

Id say for a commuter, the J is a decent choice, just keep up the maintenance. You can find inexpensive used aftermarket parts for the J if you know where to look(classifieds here for starters).
