Hey I was suggested here from a buddy of mine on cardomain, I drive a 2003 ecotec automatic cavi and of course I come here bearing questions.
First off lets start with the engine.
A while back the check engine sign went on, I took it to a mechanic, and they plugged in that lil problem finder thingy and it said something about fuel emissions, although I don't really notice much of a difference in performance I do notice something, does anyone know how to fix this?
2nd for interior I recently purchased a nice momo steering wheel on ebay and was wondering where I can get a momo hub or any hub that supports the 6 hole steering wheel for a cavalier..
3rd and I already posted this in another section of the forum for the front end conversion for headlights/bumper for the 96-02 cavalier what else is needed besides the light and the bumper??
Thanks for whoever reads this and replies lol.
Hi and Welcome!
Your comment....... Is rather vague. When you plug in you "problem finder thingy", or diagnostic computer, into the OBD plug you will get codes given to you. Some units will also decipher those codes into words.
We would need to know exactly what the diagnostic analyzer told you to help you further.
Emissions could be any of 20 different things and sometimes multiple things working in harmony. Even with knowing the exact code something upstream may be malfunctioning causing the code to be thrown when in actuality there isn't anything wrong with the unit identified but it is being affected by another unit. ( Rather twisted but I hope you get my point.) It isn't any one thing that always causes a given condition. Sometimes life gets easy and it is the unit identified.

Alright guess i'll have to take it to get checked before something comes out worse than it already is, when I took it to autozone they said it was a few parts that needed to be replaced but that was a while back.

I live in south texas but would prefer not to do that for resaling reasons, plus i'd like to save the parts just incase I ever hit something and need them lol.
