Alright so I need some opinions on what the hell I would be getting myself in to. I bought a cobalt SS supercharger that works perfectly for a hundred bucks from a friend just looking to sell it off for a quick buck. However, looking at it, it seemed like it would fit my cav. I did a little homework, found out the supercharger can fit, however its gonna take some work. I'm still pretty inexperienced working with stuff like this though, and I was wondering what the hell I would be getting into trying to buy the right parts, and installing the supercharger. The install I'm not too worried about, as a mechanic lives down the street from me and will help me out. So, opinions please!!! And if anybody happens to know what the cost of the other parts would be, I would be very grateful.
Checking what i wrote here, my engine is the 2.2l Ecotec, to all those wondering.
honestly not saying it can't be done, but its going to be a rear bitch/$$$ to round up the rest of the small parts, nuts, bolts etc to install the kit. You would be beter off just buying a hole kit off someone. But on the other hand, if u know where a wrecked SS is and u can get the parts, give'r hell.
as for installing it....piece of cake if you go the right parts for it on hand
