Hi guys, i'm new to the forum (and the j-body scene) but i've been around cars all my life. I'm 21, live in Dayton, Tennessee, and love to just cruise around.
I'm driving an '03 Cavy, owned it a little over 5 months, it's got a 2.2L Ecotec with a Hahn Super 16G turbo, 500-hp fuel pump, VROG fuel pressure regulator, FAST controller, stainless Borla exhaust with straight tips, H&R Sport Springs (lowered 1.6 inches in the front, 1.4 in back), a one-off body kit from GM, 19x7 Black Pearl Center Line Excels, 13-inch disc in front, 12-inch disc in back, Dynamic Auto Design suede touring seats, APR aluminum spoiler with carbon fiber end plates. Pinstriping on the hood and outlines of the graphics were done by Pete "Hot Dog" Finlan
This car was featured in 2 build-up articles of the August 2004 issue of HCI Magazine, and on the Hahn website
More pictures coming when i get it out of the shop. (hopefully soon if FAST will get their act together)
hahah i got that mag still.. in fact its on my passanger floor as we speak.. i was wondering what happened to that car.. good to know its still around.. post your pics in the photo section when you can.. and some info on it/
oh that kits isnt one off anymore .. or at all for that matter lol. check the org. plenty of people have that kit.
A branch of Buckaroo Communications moved to my town, and they brought their cars with them. My mom happened to get a job there and the car just sat in their warehouse wasting away for years. The owner of Buckaroo said he had planned on letting the staff drive it around to shows and what-not but knew they would destroy it so i finally convinced him to sell it to me.
And it's good to know it's not a one-off anymore, it's a nice kit
The first pic is before I got it. Supercharged 2.2L
The second pic is right before they pulled out the supercharged 2.2L to put in the turboed (the previous owner had too much money invested in the supercharged engine to let it go for the price he sold me the car)
The third pic is the supercharged out, ready for delivery to the previous owner
wait from the pics ... i thin you do have the original extreme tuner front... it doesnt have the front grill like the ones sold at dealers.
I can't find any pictures of the production model one to compare to, but I have confirmation from the original owner that this was the rough-kit they made before deciding to make it production. Most pieces had to be fitted multiple times and blended into the body (which looks amazing)
Finally got the ECU back from FAST with a new wiring diagram, so i should be getting some picture within a week or two.
borrowed this pic from the01cav..
you should post the pics in the photo media section... then you will get more feed back.. not alot of member come to the newbies section.
The only difference i can see between the two is the grill, since mine is mesh. Looks good both ways though lol
And yeah, when i get a chance to actually take some good pictures of it (instead of in the cramped garage where i took those) i'm gonna post them there
your bumper doesnt have the cross bar like the one i posted.
