Would it be considered rice to get
THESE if the only major thing you had done was suspension work, ie coilovers, sway bars, strut bars? I'm close to doing a major suspension overhaul and I want nicer (more supportive) seats when all is said is done...

srsly?
That's like saying in order to justify the use of a spoon you have be eating on your mothers best china.
sparco ? rice? no way . if i could afford even sparcos i would still get them without any other mods.
Not a chance! Sparco is good stuff! If anyone calls your Sparco seats rice, they really have no business commenting on your car.

RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
Well, you know how some "car guys" are. Cool, just wanted to get some opinions and it would be done right, Sparco seats, brackets and sliders, and maybe a shift knob and e-brake handle to go with it. Better to do it right first time around.

The question isn't is it rice or not... the real question is why do you care what other people say about your car? If it's rice or not, if you like it then do, its your car.
My question would be:
Are they more comfortable than stock seats? That is the only reason I wouldn't get racing seats because I like to travel for long periods at a time....

For the most part I don't care, but I get easily frustrated by morons who slam people who spend their hard earned money doings things tastefully, correct, and safe.

I don't do a lot of long distance driving so that's not really a factor, all I need is a reclining back which I'm pretty sure these have, but I understand where you're coming from.
Also, Darkstars your old silver Cavy is hawt. <3 the GM Xtreme tuner kit.
