I am even surprised I remembered my login info haha. Hey everyone, my name is Chris but am called Beamer cause of my last name. I have or have had back my 1997 Cavalier coupe. I have owned 4 jbody's altogether though. An '88 z24, '90 z24, the '97 and an '03 coupe. But now its just the '97, I have had too many cars over the last 8-9 years. Aside from the beater I have a 2007 Cobalt SS Supercharged with a good bit of things done to it and am of course all over the Cobalt forums.
Just figured I would post a hello to everyone, doubt I shall remember too many as I mostly read when I looked on there. I got my '97 back after about 4 years, back when I bought my 2003 new I had the '88 too and one of the cars had to go and so I donated the '97 to my sister in NY. After driving her around and such the motor gave in(sitting at 159K now) while he current BF was driving and the oil leaked from the Filter cause whomever changed it did not tight it down and of couse, the engine gave in. So I decided I would take it back(before knowing what was wrong) so I could try and get it running again for beater duty. So after a new header and all that with pistons, new rotors, brakes, alternator and starter its running. Just need to get it registered, insured, inspected and yay. Looking to put new wheels on it too, its got the optional(I think) 14's, woot!
Anyway, thats all I suppose.
If anyone can recommend a nice Header|DP and exhaust setup I would appreciate it, only thing I have seen that looks alright for cheap-ish is the Pacesetter setup. Saw a Magnaflow setup but I do not want to spend $600+ on a system for a car that is really not worth it imo. Not saying I hate cavs, I love 'em but this one is not worth too much.
