Hey all,
Names Luke, just wanted to introduce myself on the site, I'm an old timer, been in the industry all my life, looking to help all I can.

I'm really impressed with this site, can't wait to put my 2 cents in, i don't type real well so no picking on my spelling or puncuation.

You spelled punctuation wrong. but welcome to the forum nonetheless.

Are you really 79?! If so, that's totally awesome that you're still working on cars and now passing your knowledge onto your grandson!

Welcome to The Org.! If you search around you can find a lot of very good, useful information here. Please ignore the childish, immature members (they are plenty of them!).

Good luck with the Z24 build with your grandson. I will definitely be watching for updates.

Oh... don't worry about spelling and punctuation.... you're already heads and tails above 95% of the members here .

Yes I'm def an old man, I'm childish too, i saw athing on the boob toob the othr day it was about getting old, they say that your mind reverts back to when u were a kid, idk if it's true or not but, needless to say, yeah I'm headed toward that age. now as far as all you whipersnappers go, just remember grandpa is always "bad word" right. idk if this is censored or not.

someone needs to show me how to make the pic thing for under my posts

Not necessary. I believe you and as I said in my first post: "If so, that's totally awesome that you're still working on cars and now passing your knowledge onto your grandson!

what is keed? as far as the build how do I put photo's up? It has started, We have 3 a 2000 Z24 ld9 4t40e or is is 60 i cant remmber, a 97 z22 2.2l man, and a 96 Z24 4t trans, which should we do? the 97 is my pick just due to the simple fact that it is manual, I know it bolts to the ld9 but the ld9 was junk, even if you bulletproof it, still junk, now the 2.2 eco and the 2.2 amazing engines and you can get more whp outta the 2.2L without it blowing up, or throwing it's guts threw hell, I think were going to turbo the 2.2 shooting for 26psi for track days and 16-18 on a regular, should last 40k or so I think, this typing thing is horrible, what happened to jawing with a bunch of folks when they come over, this takes forever to express one thought.

lol your a cool grampa. the ld9s have alot of potential when built right. but the late 2002- 2005 2.2 ecotecs have alot of aftermarket support compared to the ld9.

and when he said keed... i was trying to say i kid . or in other words he was just playing haha..

for photo showing . go to a site like PHOTOBUCKET.COM creat and account there and loads pictures onto it. once you get that done let us know .

Js have a 4t40e. No 4t60.

Id go for the 2k Cav since the post-97 LD9s are better or so I hear.

The 2.2 (not the ecotec one) or 2200s are bulletproof stock motors but dont have a lot of performance potential. Theyre in 95-2002 base models.

Yeah, he just meant he was kidding. It's the same as saying, "I kid. I kid".

I would do an ECO swap in the '00 z24. The ECO definitely seems to be the preferred engine around here. It shouldn't be hard to swap in a manual transmission to go along with it.

I agree with you on hanging out and talking in person. I don't mind interent forums, but it's definitely more fun to see and talk to people in person and be able to check out their cars in person as well.

Adding pictures is easy. Just as azn said, create an account at PhotoBucket and we'll help you from there. You could also get that grandson of yours to come over and help you !
