i have a 1999 sunfire and the coolant light keeps coming on, i keep checking the levels and those are fine, i have been told it could be the sensor but i am unsure where to look to check that out, i have someone that will check it out but hes unsure about my car because he drives a w-body and knows more about them then j-bodys....
The low coolant level switch is located on the coolant resevoir on the passenger fender well.
correct me if im wrong but isnt the low coolant level switch part of the bottle?
If you by the bottle brand new it comes with the switch, but the switch itself is serviceable.
ah alright... for some reason i thought it was all one piece..
ok that helps but now we think it might be a blown head gasket? anyone know where to find a good diagram? with in a week i went from having the coolant totally full to yesterday it been totally empty! not sure what the heck is going on with this car but i am almost ready to get rid of it
