I was wondering if i could swap the exhaust maifolds from a 97 to a 98 cavalier? i have called Canadian Tire and they said that the manifold gaskets are different so im not sure if they'll be interchangeable. what i am trying to do is take the flexpipe out completely and use the older style spring kit.

Head is different so I want to say no.

nope won't work at all... the entire top half of the motor is different

2.4 97-98 would be the same , ohv slightly different , but YES they would swap over as far as the bolt pattern , the exhaust ports were moved over a little from the 2.2 to the 2200 design , and you could port the stock manifold to match the movement in ports

or just buy a header for it

without machine shop work, the answer is no.
