I thought I'd introduce myself, I just bought a 2000 Cavalier 2 door 2.2 off my best friend's wife today. I've only ever had old cars (newest one was my 89 Caprice) so this is a huge change for me, but I've been driving a 225km round trip to work starting 3 months ago, and with a few things wrong with my Caprice it was only getting 22mpg imperial and costing me a fortune for gas.

So I ended up buying my friends well maintained and gently used Cavalier with only 188,000km's (about 120k miles) on it. It runs like brand new and got 39mpg (imperial gallon) today, highway driving but several stops throughout the day. I should be able to get at least 40 driving to and from work. My only regret about this car is that its an auto, I always said if I ever bought a Cavalier it'd be a manual, but this car was too good to pass up for the money.

I figured I might as well register on here since I might need to use this place for info/advice on upgrades.
