I have a few questions.. i was given a nice 138K 2000 sunfire all stock.. i wanna put a B&M short shifter in like i had in my 2003 Z cause i do not like the stock shifter at all, my question about the B&M sport short shifter will it make this 2000 sunfire shifting feel like how it did in my 03 ? and about lowering this sunfire she has new struts in the front but stock in the rear but they are still good, should... i change them when i lower ? eibach springs what kinda should i get ? hope to hear some good replies
ttysoon guys.

I have no idea about the short shifter. I would recommend searching through the
Transmission Forum for an answer to this question.
If you are going to lower it you will definitely need aftermarket struts to achieve a better ride and have a "proper" setup. Stock struts will not hold a drop for very long before they blow and than the car will ride like crap. Which springs you get will depend on how low you want to go and what you're looking for. I personally (along with MANY others here) had the Eibach Pro Kit 1.4" springs. They provide a nice sporty looking drop while still maintaining a very comfortable ride. You could also go with Eibach Sportline springs which drop the car much lower and therefore will give a harsher ride. Personally, I had Eibach Pro Kit springs and KYB AGX struts. This is a very good quality, cheaply priced setup that MANY people on here have.
^ That is a plain old Sunfire SE Coupe. The "GXP" is nothing more than dealer rice. That means the dealer added the factory wheels (a regular SE would have had 15" steel wheels with wheel covers) and the ugly side skirts and possibly some other things (can't tell since it only has the one picture). Don't let the seller kid you that it is some special model or something. It's not. I'm sure it has the 2200 engine which is a strong engine, but is slow FYI.
Let me know if you have any more questions. Welcome to the Org.! Be sure to post pictures when you get a chance.
What I meant is your Sunfire is not a regular Sunfire. The wheels and side skirts were added by a dealer, better known around here as "dealer rice", they were not on the car from the factory. Dealers would add stuff like that to Js to sell them for more money. If it were a regular Sunfire it would have had either 14" or 15" steelies with wheel covers, but because the dealer who initially sold it when it was new added the actual wheels, yes you do have wheels, not steelies
.
Thanks for the kind words on the Vibe

wheels.
wheels.
WHEELS.
WHEELS!!!!
rims are the outer part of the WHEEL which the tire attaches to. add spokes and a tire and you have a WHEEL.
however, that being said, i like the side skirts, they're not very common. in fact, i dont believe i've seen them before.
