About Pacesetter Headers

Ok, I'm going to be doing my entire suspension and exhaust system. I own a 2000 z-24, went with the Megan exhaust and catco cat because it was the only one I could find that had a two bolt inlet for decent price. Getting to the point, I would like to know more about what mounts should be used and why? Would a "flex pipe" be more effective? I did a quick search as not to noob this thread too much, hope I'm not reposting too much. I would also like to know if the damn headers must be wielded as I live in Nebraska where the weather changes drastically every five minutes. I would appreciate any and all feed back so please post as much as you know about them. (Like is my set up good, what kind of gains should I expect, am I stressing the engine, ect. ect.) I'm running almost completely stock with only a short ram AEM intake and AEM Power pulley.

i have the poly upper insert and lower dogbone, and hardbolted my pacesetter ceramic. three years+ at this point, no cracks, no leaks.

this is the very minimal i would do.

Do you mean something like what RKsport offers? If not please advise where to get one.

Ok, I got the headers in and they seem way too big. Is there any reason for it and can I work around it without cutting the firewall?(Thats the only suggestion I got so far) Also my rear struts are leaking...they are brand new and everything has been replaced...what could cause this?

Pics of the problems?

My header is twice as big as the pacesetter and we didnt have to cut anything to install it, but we did have to drop the subframe ~2", undo the top engine mounts, and undo the front tranny mount to get enough room to slip it behind the engine.

Ok, I was able to squeeze them in and tightened them pretty snug. That ball flange was a two man job for me. But on to the next problem. I drove the car a short distance (say a mile or two tops) to a garage to do this work. While driving the car all I had were my headers and catalytic converter. (The old piping rusted off) It must have been the original piping and been wielded back on way too much. My problem is that once the new exhaust system and cat were fit on to the headers I noticed my oil had gone down drastically to about two quarts. Even after adding oil I got a knocking sound. I don't race this car, and I change my oil religously with mobile 1. There were no oil spots in either driveways and I checked coolant, added only a little just to be sure. Is one of the sensors bad? A friend of mine, a honda guy said that usually you have to adjust the distributor or replace timing chains but seeing as the chains on mine are quiet as this town and I don't even have spark plug wires I can do niether. Now I admit my cat is probably a half inch in size different from the rest of the piping. I will probably order a high flow in the comming week. Also the piping from the down pipe is clamped to the cat. Please advise.
