Newbie hello.
Friday, February 19, 2010 3:34 AM
Hello out there. I'm new to the site and wanted to introduce myself. I live in sunny SoCal, USA. I have just recently purchased a 2003 Cavalier coupe 5-spd with 48K miles on the clock. She's white and as bone stock as it gets. Didn't even come with covers on the stock black steelies, but she's clean and mechanically perfect. She told me before we ever drove off the lot that her name was Samantha. Cars do that sometimes. She is actually my second J-body. About 6 years ago I drove an '01 Cavi. I was... underwhelmed. All I can say is what a difference Ecotech makes! Only had her two weeks and loving Sam already.

Thus far I am lurking and learning, but I am already hatching plans. First off will probably be a Pacesetter header (yay CARB) and Megan catback. Since I'm a prude and like to keep things legal, I'm hoping to afford and find a GMPP supercharger kit before they go extinct. Rims and a GM Extreme Tuner body kit are also on my wishlist, again, assuming I can find one of these endangered species by the time my wallet allows.

That'll do for now. I'm excited about my new baby and to have found this site.

The Cobalt SS/SC M62 swap is the same thing as the GMPP S/C kit.

Not sure, but it is all the same parts.

Thanks. I'm not above an illegal part here or there as long as it will pass The Peoples' Republic of California's inspection. As far as I know any power added is a sure fail without a CARB E.O. number, but I'll look into it.
