hey there i currently have a 1996 cavalier 2.4 with the ld9 in it and i have the motor fully built and turboed but i wanna do a 2.2 ecotec swap and new style transmission can anyone on here help me and tell me what i need and what all i gotta do its new to me because i havent owned an ecotec yet.

Ummm, Im with Crashes. Ur going to need the motor, trans, mounts, wireharness, PCM, Cluster. And a hell of alot of re-wiring. From what I have been told this is a harder swap to do in a 95-99 then you would think. Goodluck buddy.
and all of that for a motor that has less displacement and less horsepower stock...

basically, you'd need an 03-05 car. intact. then, take every single part that isn't the unibody off your 96, and replace it with every single part from the donor that isn't the unibody. EVERYTHING. basically, strip both cars down to shells, then put all the parts from the eco powered car on the 96 body.
and yes, i am serious.
