which radio do you have in it? on my 00 non rds i believe while power was off I used preset 5 and 6 for hour/ min. it has been about 8 years since I had a stock radio in a cav so I could be out of date on that for mp3 my radio could read burned discs.

to set the clock, lower left corner of the radio theres two small black buttons.
turn the radio off. push and hold the one of the left (which is for hours) until the clock starts to flash and you hear a beep. the button to the right (same size) is for minutes. set the time, then turn the radio back on to set.

it will play CD-R's burned as music discs (typically 20ish tracks), but not actual MP3 burned cd's (the cd's that can have 400+ tracks in folders etc).
