Well being a 96 if you want to use hp tuners you'll have to repin the harness to 97 specs. Another thing is the side feed injectors don't have any replacements, you'll have to do a top feed conversion to allow for injector upgrades. You might get lucky and find a log mani on ebay but other than that you'll have to build your own.
Search the boost forum for top feed conversion, and look into repining the harness so you'll have some hpt support. Otherwise like i mentioned before get a 2k+ body harness and ln2 engine harness if your deadset on boosting your pushrod motor.
This way you can use the ld9 supercharger reflash on a 2k+ ecu allowing for speed density tuning.
Ok LD9 and LN2 are what ? and how hard is it to do a harness swap ?

The ld9 is the code for the 2.4 motor gm had. In 00 to 02 they had a supercharger kit that was speed density based and wasn't locked by gm so hpt can be used on ln2 cavi's (2200 and 2.2motors) if they have a 2000-02 harness and computer from a 2.4 or 2.2 non ecotec equiped cavi. A few poeple have also used this to tune ecotecs as well. Swapping harness just entails removing the interior and pulling the old and replacing it withthe new one. If you go to the junkyard to pull one, you'll see what your getting into. To me it's not that bad but that is subjective. Search around some of the engine swap threads and in he 3rd gen section. You'll find good info in there.
