I'm not sure if this is the right sub, but yesterday while I was driving my steering wheel just started moving up and down as if the lever that allows you to adjust it had broken. Being the idiot I am, I jammed it back in place, but now it moves left and right as opposed to up and down and won't lock into place. I was looking into getting it fixed and was wondering a few things:
1) Should I replace the steering wheel or the whole column?
2) Is this something I should have a shop do or is it easy enough for an idiot to do?
3) If a shop was to do it, what should I expect the total labor to be?
Thanks for the help!
I would say a junk yard. but that's just me and I would take it to someone cause then I would only pay for labor cause I would have my own part.
