I am "New" to this forum...I am 50...I will search first before asking questions

I am not new to mechanics.. but not a professional, just love to help folks out when I can....however I am new to this car that I will be working on for a family friend...2004 Cavalier with Ecotec 2.2 109,000 has issues, and have narrowed it down to just a few things, however the few things require me to go into the top end.
