I recently got a cavalier and Ive been doing small repairs both aesthetically and under the hood. Seems as if Ive been doing well so far since i bought it for 400 bucks and it didn't even run when i got it. Ive been reading on engine swapping and would like to get better hp. Everything i have on the car right now is stock. Any advise on what types of engines i could swap it with?
FYI: Im just barely starting to get into cars. Thats why i bought a cheap car I could build up myself.

Nice, i got my 99 z24 for 400$ as well with a blown engine.
Being that yours is a 2.2, and ecotec swap would be easier then a 2.4. Look in the performance thread for info on swaps.

swap an ecotec. 2.2 bottom end and use 2.4 top end (valves and what not). thats what im thinking of doing with my sunchicken, or just selling my sunchicken and get a cav lol.
