converting to gauge cluster with tach

how much work would it take to swich gauge clusters to one with a tach. unfortunately i bought a car with out one. could i just plug it into the factory harness, or does it require wiring, either way i'm just curious.

umm, and what year is your car? and what kinda car is it? they do plug and play, but the 95 - 99 cavalier ones you won't have the proper odometer reading, as for the 00 - 02 cavalier, they plug and play, and everything works just fine, that's what I did.

another quick question. do i have to stay with chevy or will pontiac work as well.

you know what, for that one I don't know, because I have never looked inside a sunfire, but go to a scrap yard you are bound to find an auto, that comes with them, I think they were stock on autos for some reason.

You can use a cluster from any 2000-2005 Cavalier or Sunfire. Plugs right in and go.
