Just as the topic states. Lost one of my 17' wheels to some metal and don't have the money to fix it. The worst thing that could happen is that i'd loose a chance to AutoX in may but i'll be back.
You'll probably be faster with the 14's, because you have less rotating mass

I raced my car on stock 14's vs. the stock GT rims. They are alot cheaper to burn up.

I read an article on rim size vs autocross times forget which magazine it was but they ran like 5 different cars with 3 different size rims on each car and bigger rims helped in every case. i'm thinking it was import magazine or something like that...I'll see if i can find it so i can give exact results.
problem is with 14s....can you get them wide enough (at least 225s)
If autoXers aren't running at least 225s (or more if you can figure out how to get 245s on the fronts
) on their J's, their losing time.

Agreed, but I can get some 14" azenis for $47 a piece, instead of paying $120 per 225/50/14 hoosier. Use the 14's if your on a budget, otherwise I would use a 15 or a 16 inch wheel.
