I also AutoX, very much into it, atleast the last 2-3 yrs. Its great to see all the different cars come out, so far there haven't been many JBody's but there has been a couple of Mustang GT's and even an Infiniti G35 Coupe. I cant get enough of the stuff, hopefully i'll be going again on the 14th.
i am going to start very soon... looks so fun...
I want to start too... what kind of wheel/tires do ya'll recommend using... because I don't think I wanna use my street tires for it.

The auto really only hurts you when you come out of corners and it downshifts for a sec and then upshifts. You just have to learn to keep your foot on the gas while pressing on the brakes to keep the rpms up through the corners.
Regardless, you should be more concerned with improving your lap times than your lap times compared to other cars that are always going to be faster than yours.

automatics... keep it in 2... i hear that works best
I do keep it in 2
. The computer will still tell the transmission to downshift though if you floor it out of the corners and your rpms aren't high enough.

i just used my street tires, my fronts were new, like less than 1,000 miles on em, worked fine

like they said dont base your times on other people
fo ur first run nice and slow to get use to the course, then go faster each time and try to beat ur time
i had fun that way, put up some decent times
next race is this sunday the 21st in Lancaster
Kumho Exsta MX's are a great street/autox tire.
Falken Azenis are also most excellent
but tend to get a little greasy in hotter climates(if you have a water sprayer for them, this isn't that much of a problem.)
