Hey a friend of mine has a 2.0L DOHC 4 door 98 Neon and he wants to race my 2000 sunfire its also a 4 door with the 2200 engine. i have a short ram air intake and custom cat back exhaust. and he has just a camaro style muffler on stock pipes and a cone air filter on the stock intake tubes. We are just gonna do a 1/4 mile and see what happens his car is said to be 150HP but many say there is no real power advantage over the SOHC and i have beat those. What should i expect to see as an outcome?

we were planning on useing a friend of ours air strip... he has property that has an old runway on it in n e case thats where we go

the SOHC if faster than the DOCH, i had both

SOHC has 132 HP, DOHC has 150.

If it's a 2.0, it's probably the SOHC.

I can't beat my cousin's sohc neon, and I have a 2200 with just an intake, and about 100 lbs of audio equipment in my trunk.

strange... i am near positive its a DOHC and yah i just checked the DOHC can come in 2.0 L
