Taking Guesses

I'm taking guesses about quarter mile times I will run and the types of cars I will beat at the track and at auto-x. Cars I should be close to at the track: Civics of every breed, wrx's, stock 5.0's, rsx's, etc.

I have a 2002 Z24. In the past two weeks my car has gone through a major transformation. I put polyurethane bushings in all mounts (motor and transmission), all suspension bushings are polyurethane, i installed a phantom grip, i put in a spec stage 2 clutch and a fidanza aluminum flywheel, then I installed a gm supercharger kit with a K&N filter. I also have previously installed strut braces, koni yellows, eibach pro springs, addco sway bars, kumho ecsta mx tires, and full exhaust (rksport 4-2-1 header, high-flow cat, custom cat-back).

Well since your car is manual that is one huge variable right there to determine your time. Depends on how well you can launch and grab that first 60 foot, then how well you plan your shift points and properly execute them. Driver skills are going to play a large part in your 1/4 mile time. Hell I'm not in the top 10 list for having a freak of nature, it's because I know my car very well. I still have places to improve like my 60' but practice is what you will need to get you there.

Obviously your biggest gain in performance in your supercharger. Research what people have done with HP Tuners on that. I don't know how true it is or not since I have never seen it but people are claiming major performance increases just from having somebody tune their car for them. That could be a huge advantage for you to begin with. Second of all your goals of cars to beat don't worry about it. Don't let your head get caught up with what stock cars you can take. You never know when that sleeper will come around. Or when the guy can simply out drive you.

My best advice for you is to go out there and have fun with it. Who cares how fast or slow it is today. If you have a passion for it you will see improvements with out modifications.

But if I had to put out a guess depending on what time of year you go and the outside temperature. My guess will be between 14.5 and 14.8
