2006 Season Autocross videos

I take my J racing regularly. At the beginning of this season, I purchased a video camera. Camera + Racing = fun videos!

So, I did some capturing and some Youtubing, and you all get to enjoy the fruits of my labors.

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=5E92ABABF3492B2E <-- The Cav playlist, 29 runs

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=E0D54B9FAA2A5E44 <-- Bonus: The Fiero playlist, 28 runs

Check my registry to see what the noise is all about in the Cavvy

Found me out, this is my alter-ego in my other car. Technically been a member here for longer than over at Pennock's

Thought I would post the videos in both places since 29 of the runs are in a J

i love the shot in the fiero where you can see the brake light. If only there was less glare and a wider field of view.....

That first course 3-19 in the parking lot sucks. The other courses looked much more challenging.

I did that one because I wanted a better location to pick up sound. If you noticed on all the others, above halfway up in 1st gear all you get is wind noise. If you watched all of the ones from behind the back window, you'll notice I had some excitement at the end of the 5th run.

Yeah, 3/19 was really tight and technical, and I wasn't very impressed. It was in Sharonville, OH, close to where my Fiance lives. We did that event so her parents could watch. The rest of them are at my home region, about 10 minutes from my house. The surface eats tires really bad, but it's got more space so the courses are more fun.

Yeah, it's a suction cup type, this one: http://www.stickypod.com/osc/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=31

Technically against the rules for SCCA events, but smaller regional events are more lenient. There is also the safety tether so that it can't get very far from the car in case the cups let go. But the strengh on the suction cups is pretty impressive. It feels like the glass will come out of the sunroof before the suction cups let go.

And I stuck it to the back glass on the Fiero a couple of times, and you can pull the Fiero around in neutral with it.

wow, is this SCCA or another organization? I only watched the first vid but man...do you guys just ignore the curb/pole/misc crap in the way, distance rules? haha, you were practically running over them at some points! i thought the rule was like 20-40ft or something for SCCA (I might be wrong)

Good shots though, Im going to watch the rest right now!
