Change it mods = change in times?

Ok last time I ran my car at the track I was on a 185-65-14. I had a bomz ebay intake , TB spacer, Prothane lower mont, and a obx muffler. with this I pulled a 16.834 @81.08Mph. Now the next time I go down it will have a RSM crank pulley, Autotrans Interceptor, OBX header, Megan racing catback exhaust, prothane upper mount insert, prothane lower mount, and I'm not sure wether I'm gonna stay on 17's or throw my steels with 215-60-14. I'm also lowered on H&R lowering springs. think I will be capable of a 16.5 range or a lil quicker?

yeah it's just hard to compare, different elevations and different tracks and conditions, Too many variables. I was just tryin to get a general idea if I would be quicker than I was before or not.

I'm hoping to be in the lower 16 sec bracket instead of the higher.

run the steelies less rotating mass you will be faster than on the 17s

even if the 17s feel lighter you will be faster on the 15s trust me

You'll be quicker on the 14s. Besides less rotational mass, the tire is almost 1" shorter, which would give you an equivalent to 1/2 way to the next gear ratio, which should help you accelerate a little quicker too.

This sounds like i am on the right track for going with the shorter tire.
