so i took my car out to the track on sunday as well,
with an eco, automatic, and on my 18s and stereo still in the car my best times were

best 60 ft 2.400
best 1/8th mile 10.544
best 1/4 16.443
my best time of 16.443 was when it was about 45 degrees out and it was my first time ever running so my reaction time was a .794
hopefully nextime i go i can get some steelies and crack a lower time... either way not terrible for my first time, with a mostly stock car on 18s

Looks like your spinning the tires off the line. And reaction time is just how long it takes you to move. Your time doesn't start till you leave though. Good job so far. Read some of the tips and what not on the forum and just keep practicing and having fun with it.

RT dont play into your ET. you can sit there for 5 minutes and still run a 13 second pass or whatever you run

RT does not play into ET but it does play into whether you win or loose on the ticket. the ive lost in ET times to a car before, but won on the slip because my RT was so much better than theirs.
and Viper, cayuga opens april 5th. as long as the weather is good, im going down with a few people.

slicks as well as a turbo build are in the works, so its gonna take more than a 3.4 than to pass me... and for the record, a z24 isnt any quicker than an eco stock for stock,, and for that matter, mod for mod...

I know that well i found out that you can put a 5spd behind a 3800 so i belive i will do that instead of a 3.4 i now butt you wait till i come back from wyotech i will mark my words have a badass car thats for sure!!!!
i'll be boosted and built by that time, so it"ll still be tough, but i'd love to see that 3.8 swap go down

if your doing a 3x00 swap on a J, be prepared to not have a car for a LONG time! its gonna take loads of work to put it in, but as long as your dedicated to do it then your golden.
Ya i plan on just putting the car down for a WHILE and drive some pece for the mean time
