I am running a 97 z24 2.4 on a 1/3 paved track. I was wondering if any one else is having an oil blow by problem. Going into the corners the oil is going thru the top of my timing chain cover back down to the crankcase ventilation then back into the intake which in turns is burning into the intake and making the car smoke thru the corners. I know it should be an easy fix to just unhook it from the intake and extend a line to an oil catch can. Has anyone else had this problem andif so what was your fix?
its a normal issue for the circle track cars from what ive seen... i know one guy that had a baffle made for the oil pan to try and stop it.
I had the same problem last week on 3/8 dirt track... I had the oil overfilled.... drained some out and got the level right on the full line on the dip stick and it fixed the problem for me.
what kind of oil you running?
