Pontiac Sunbird Engine Swap

Hi,

I have a 91 Sunbird that I race at a local dirt track. The engine blew up on me. It had the 2.0 L in it. Can I just swap out with a 2.2 L from a Cav (or something bigger)? Or do I need to replace the tranny and everything else to do that?
