i have a 97 cavalier z24 and i race on 1/4-3/8 dirt tracks the car is a 5 speed and im trying to figure out what size tires ive been running 185/60/14s on front and it is to doggy in the turns for third gear but to many rpms for 2nd gear. just trying to find that happy medium so i can leave it either in 2nd or 3rd without having to shift the whole race.. can anyone help

what is your tire rule at your track?

We can't run 16s and no wider than a 7in wheel

depending on your tire rule, id say to run 195/45-14 for 1/4 mile and 3/8 mile tracks,
