I have a 2.4L 98 cavalier z24. Have seen many of them blow up on the track at high RPM. Does anyone know what can be done to prevent them from blowing up?
Block modification that typically needs done at a machine shop if you don't know what you're doing. The point is to machine the block to accept an earlier 2.3 quad 4 oil pump. They don't have the cavitation issues at high rpms that the stock 2.4 ld9 oil pump does.
