Hi. New here was just wondering if anybody had any suggestions or tips for interchanging diffrent year parts to gain some extra power. I am curenlty running an 02 cavy with a 2.2 ohv 5 speed. Starting on an 02 2.2 ohv auto. Just looking for tips. Already read about the quad4 tb. Guna try that with port and polishing head. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks guys
I just wana clarify also that i do not have a way tobtune computer so im just trying to gain a lil extra by swapping stock parts for better stock parts if its possible. Thanks again
Can't really do that without a tune unfortunately. Ported head will help but I don't think you'll see much improvement unless you do a full head build, cam swap, and tune. These motors are strong but don't respond well to small mods like the dohc motors do.
On another note, search for the caravan rear wheel bearing. You'll find that the stock jbody bearing is crap and will break on you often in the right rear. Someone figured out a hybrid setup using caravan wheel bearing parts that's bolt-on and much stronger.

I will try that out. Thanks for the help.
I called oriellies today and they have diff size bearngs. Does anybody know what year and engine size on the caravans for the rear bearinf to work?
86 to 90 Engine size don't matter. Put one on a few weeks ago
Thanks buddy. Use the same brakes? Sorry im new to this
You can swap to different ratio rockers on the ohv that should net some more power. If you search in the performance forum, there should be multiple posts about it.
