a girl in my apt complex backed her civic up into my car this morning... she was nice enough to leave me a note, so when i went out to my car i was only slightly less pissed. went and talked to her, she admitted to being at fault (duh), and she didn't see my car where it was parked when she was backing up. there's a nice huge pothole where she was backing up, so she had to give it some gas to get her car past that, which means she hit my car harder than if that pothole hadn't been there.
called the cops to send a squad car over, he got all of our information and filled out a report. now im just waiting to hear back from her insurance to find out their suggestions as to getting it fixed. cop estimated it at about $1000 worth of damage.

im not sure if the side skirt door strike will need to be repainted, gonna have the body shop look at that... but im hoping it will be. lol. handle will need to be repainted, i don't know if they're gonna try and get the door back to normal or if they are going to replace it. either way, i don't really care, so long as they don't replace the inner door panel or speaker. lol.
her car:
minor damage to the bumper and a broken tail light. yippee.
dammit, why couldn't she have hit my fender so i could get those painted finally, or the rear bumper so i could replace that. argh. one step forward and about four steps back.

If i were u, id ask them to paint the door, then keep bitching about how the color doesnt match which is going to lead to painting the whole car

door will be replaced as soon as i get my hands on another one... i also ordered a new door strike yesterday, so that will be replaced. the side skirt itself is fine, it's just dirty.
as for shaving the handles, i don't plan on doing that. i will be doing performance mods this summer and i want to race at tracks. there are some tracks that won't let you race if you don't have handles (safety issue). plus that would mean i'd have to get the other door painted as well and get poppers/remote locks. lol.
well, i got a new door for $100, i'll have it on saturday. then just waiting on 2 more parts that are on their way and im taking quite a few things to the paint shop to get sprayed at the same time... my car should look pretty damn sexy in a couple weeks.
