okay itsnot that cool, i just rearended someone.
somehow the bumper, besides all the paint flaking off, is completely fine. both headlights are busted. its hard to tell, but one of the hood pins its buckled and tearing out, the hood latch on the other side is also torn out. is there any way to fix a cf hood at those two points? i'll take some pictures later to show exactly what im talking about.
ouch! that sucks hardcore dude. atleast you're ok... the car can be fixed
this is my third insurance claim in about a year in a half. i really hope they dont cancel me.
Did you take those pics while you were moving? It looks like your Tach is up, and your speedo is showing that your are moving..........
Is this why you get into accidents?

sometimes gauges will freeze in a sudden impact. this said it appers poor black cavy was traveling at approx 40 mph and judgeing by the tach he was braking at the time of the impact. and at that speed the car in front of him had to be traveling at approx 60-70 mph when he saw it and attemped to stop.
p.s. i know all this because im a claims adjuster in canada. and really used to stuff like this.
how close am i poorblackcavy?

The black box also takes info after impact

if he was going 40MPH and braking, and the car in front of him was going 60-70... he never would of hit the car, it already being in front of him and going faster than he was....
that being said, you can fix the hood, but if the repair needs to be made on the outside, then you may want to paint it afterwards so that you don't see the repair in the weave.

I thought the gauges freeze when the air bags go off.. it 's like the black box system, so the cops have a better ideal whats going on...?
They can tell a lot from the gauges after a crash..
