I made a lot of changes over the winter to the bike, including a 240 rear tire (up from a 180), black powdercoat over my chrome wheels, blacked-out forks, removed turn signals (but integrated them into other parts), shortened my exhaust pipes by 7 inches, and collected most of the parts I need for my engine build which will happen next winter.
Here's what the bike looked like when I bought it in July 07:
Here's the from the 08 season:
And now, the evolution of style for 2009:
Turn signals are built into the black strips in the mirrors
Also, in the rear, see the dots in the license plate frame? Rear turn signals.
Here you can see the hacking I did to the belt guards, also new horn.
The only other visual modification that will be happening to the bike - black cylinder heads:
Coming soon to a VRSC near you
Questions, comments, criticisms welcome.
man that thing looks great. I've been thinking about getting a bike and that is exactly the style of bike I want to get. Can u post some info on make, model and year? whats the price range it sells in? good starter bike?
I hate cruisers, but that bike is full of win
I think a black cage would look TITS with the setup you have...cage-frame whatever you guys call it.
NO sports bike on the planet matches that in sexiness.
My Cav
I give up...
i'm buying a VW those people love trees, so they should love eachother too... "Andy"
Holy crap. I can say this must be the greatest looking motorcycle ever.
Great job with the mods. Pure sexiness.
That's @!#$ hot!!
I've never been a fan of crotch rockets, I like cruisers and I love yours. It's gonna look badass with the black heads and agree with whoever said to powdercoat the frame black.
That is the only Harley I would ever buy. I just hate them but like I like the V-Rod. And your bike looks sweet, keep it going.
03 Sunfire - Sold.
Nice bike, I dig the VRSC's. I especially like the 08 and 09 VRSC Night Rod's.
I re-entered this thread to look at the pics once again. Amazing.
As someone state above, the frame powdercoated black would be so hot!!
I agree with everybody else... Never been a real big harley fan, always thought they were overrated--- but that bike is gorgeous. I'm sure the black heads will looks sweet as hell, not sure about black frame but maybe a few more black accents here and there would look nice...

All info is in my profile, you can find them now for between $9-11000 depending on year. It could be a good starter bike, aside from being expensive to fix when you wreck it. I started on a 500 Ninja, and I would recommend that bike to anyone for a starter bike.

I'm not real keen on the black frames, I like it being silver, sticking out there in all it's glory. I think it blends into the rest of the bike when it's black, and takes away the distinctivity (?) of the bike. Also, took my rear shock covers off and took them to get powder coated on Monday, so by the end of the week my rear shocks will also be black. Either way, I did a few quick photoshops:
Showing the black heads, rear shocks, and some hacking and drilling on the exhaust heat shields.
Here's with the black frame. It's not bad, but not my personal style.
By the way, anyone notice the Willie G. autograph by the seat?
Anyway, thanks for the the compliments, I'll try to get some big smoky burnout videos loaded up soon
that ducati 1098 is hott!
