I'd like to find a mid to late 80's G-body either with a small block, or without an engine, but set up for a V-8. What should I expect to pay? (aside from the monte ss of course)

Probably can get a shell for $1k
Even if all you can find is the V6 versions, its relatively easy to switch to V8... the fuel lines need to be rerouted and the battery tray moved, plus a couple minor odds/ends
Why don't you try searching on the web instead of asking on a website where a handful of people own or have owned one and have a good amount of knowledge of them.

Your best bets would probably be Buick Regals or Pontiac Grand Prix's since Cutlass's are popular with the african americans and Monte Carlo's are popular with the hispanics. A rust free Gbody is going to cost alot more than one with a few rust blemishes. Just be sure to check that the frame isn't badly rusted or rusted thru.

All G-bodys are popular with African Americans.....
