Under normal circumstances, and wiihtout other business' meddling, he should have been able to get his financing straight. I believe that selling accessories was a more honourable tactic to raise money than simply taking deposits.

1948 Tucker "Torpedo" four-door sedan - Only 51 made on this classic car site I am the guys were talking about this a few weeks ago and said that right now 46 owners have re-registered with a site stating they still had one.
I saw a red one on display at the Silver Legacy in Las Vegas. Sure looked awesome.
