Chrysler Group LLC Statement Regarding Status of the GEMA Alliance
Global Engine Manufacturing Alliance (GEMA) is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chrysler Group LLC. Former GEMA partners, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation and Hyundai Motor Company, have sold their interests in the manufacturing alliance to the Chrysler Group. Going forward, GEMA and its employees will continue to build state-of-the-art engines for Chrysler Group's line of exciting, fuel efficient vehicles.
Engines born out of the GEMA partnership include most 4-cylinder engines used by all three automakers. GEMA engines also appear in turbocharged guise in the likes of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, Hyundai Genesis 2.0T, late Dodge Caliber SRT-4.

I just find it so odd and random that those 3 cars even remotely share motors in any way. The Evo has such an amazing motor, yet its's so majorly de-tuned for the Hyundai. And so harsh and un-refined in the SRT. At least you can say each company made it their own.
