Nice! Seems like a pretty reasonable price and at such low mileage it will probably be pretty reliable.

plus for $1500 bucks you could get your motor sleeved.....

still basically a taurus. probably the 3.0dohc
and you should've used the 1500 to sleeve the cavalier....so you can run 12.36 @13x.xxx. just sayin
i think he spent the 1500 wisely.
i have my s10 as my daily driver but with 162K i dont trust driving it to see m friend in chicago. i still may take the train in to see her but this will be available always.
and id have to look but it might be the 3.0
as for sleeving the cavalier, its not needed. when todd and jon built the motor todd was confident the motor would take 450 to 500. if the motor was shooting for 600 the sleeves would have been replaced he said. the gm build book never talks of the strength of the stock liners but talk about replaced liners in the 400-600 but never shows a stock limit.
and if i can run a 12.8 @ 111 with 250hp... i am sure i can beat the 12.36 @ xxx
I was never a fan of the Taurus/Sable, but hey, can't pass up that price!
i never was either haha, until i saw the price lol. that was the point for me.
^price was definately great. and with that interior it was well worth it. never been a fan, but for a dd. rock on.
its a car! point A to point B. thats all that matters.

They pick up kinda well with the 3.0.My buddy had a taurus with the same interior and it was rather nice taking trips from PA to NY in it.
I think he bought his for like 2500 with like 85k on the odo and drove it till like 135k before his lack of auto know how caught up with him.So if you halfway know what your doing you should be able to keep it going for a long time.
I too woulda snatched that car up for 1500...to be honest that looks like an old person special...well taken of car that was driven by an elderly person.

haha it was. owned by an 87 year old women. sat for most of its life. and was driven by the grand kids when they came home from college for a summer, and a week or two over the winter.
and i have enough knowledge to keep it running for a while. the thing is comfortable to sit in for sure. and the ac blows cold and heat gets hot as can be.
power everything and every option it could have. doesnt look like much but it will work.

Perfict! Sell the s10 for whatever you can and have a very nice / reliable daily driver, and don't have to worry about the cav eer being down.
Should have the 3.0 dohc (24 valve) or the 3.0 ohv
Member of J-body of Michigan.
im gonna keep them both. no point in getting rid of the s10. runs well but just cant get rid of it for the winter. especially since i just put winter tires on it. ill keep them both
and it is the 24 valve badge on the side tells me that
im never worried about the cav being down. if it is, i have my s10 or this car.
lol @ the phrase "cripple plates" At first I was like WTF is that?
make a very nice daily driver if you dont mind looking like you're 70 years old
Stand in the corner and SCREAM with me!!!!

even the grandma (87) called them the crips. i was like bern you rock. she has a manhattan every day, or a glass of wine and a beer for dinner. gotta love it.
i dont care if it makes me look 10 or 80. im gonna rock it for a while and then turn it maybe, for more than i paid for it off the line.
got some good all seasons priced for $340, mounted balanced, out the door that i need to go get put on. brakes, just going to order a kit off ebay. i see a ton of F&R discs and pad kits. hell i could even go slotted and drilled
and i might do some HID's ill just see how the stock bulbs do in the snow.
My god its ugly.....but wicked price and shape!! Can't go wrong there!
