Since everyone is doing it... My car Fit for winter

Stock wheels wrapped in Michelin Ice-X snow tires and swapped out the roof rack bike attachment for a the ski attachment.(I can fit my bike inside the car but I get it nice and dirty and don't want it in the car, the skis fit inside the back if I lay rear seats down and put them corner to corner but I want room the roof for 5 plus our stuff for ski trips). Yesterday and today I tossed my K2's on the roof and went up to Wisconsin for Skiing, its hard to tell but the skis are on the roof in the pics.

I hate winter, I hate the cold, but as long as there's snow I'm happy

Both are about a 30 min drive from my house I think wilmot has a little bit more to do, but alpine has nicer equipment.

if you're ever up to go let me know in advance, usually weekends are best after 2pm

I am trying to get people to go to Granite Peak but nobody wants to travel this far, I guess they have 74 runs

Wilmot is alittle over an an hour form me and Alpine Valley is just over an hour and a half (I'm like 10-15 miles form the Chicago border). I think Wilmot has steeper faster runs but I like Alpine Valley more because it seems like you can get a longer run in then you could possibly do at Wilmot, I don't care which I go to though, cost is about the same. I go as often as I can but my days off are Sundays and Mondays, so usually I go then and always in the morning. My girlfriend and I are going to Alpine Valley on Christmas Eve. Granite Peak does look cool, if I did that it would be a weekend thing since it's almost 5 hours each way. Cascade or Chestnut are next on the list to hit up this year.

Honestly there isn't a car on the market I would trade it in for (if price was no option I'd take a new TDI Jetta Sportwagen or a Magnum SRT8 but even then I'd be heard pressed to give up the Fit I love it, everything about it.

I went to Cascade last year, and I would recommend it! The runs are long, well maintained, and lots of room to get by people if need be.

My family is going to the dells the weekend of the 23rd in Jan. So my buddy and I will be hitting up Cascade on the way home for the day on Monday the 26th, you're more than welcome to meet up with us.

Yeah the box is almost as big as the car, the sad think is, contents included, the box has cost me twice what the car has lol

As for the tires, they are the only snow tires I've ever owned for any car, I've grown up past the point of wanting to drive in it and thinking sliding around is cool. So I can't really give a fair review as I have nothign to compare them to. But I bought them from tire rack it was a special you got a free roadside safety kit (first aid kit, tire inflator (that I use on my bike lol) flashlight, jumper cables ect..) and free shipping if you bought a set of 4 Michelin tires. Since the these were supposedly the latest and greatest in snow tires and the freebies thrown in I decided to give them a shot. I'm happy with them. Traction while accelerating lacks a bit, I still find myself spinning the tires while speeding up but I guess that's gonna happen with a 2400lb fwd car. But braking and steering is where the snow tires really shine, for being a lightweight nose heavy car I've never had the rear slide out, the car doesn't want to push out while turning, granted I'm not hauling ass around corners) but all in all the car with the snow tires is like a little tank. I've never gotten it stuck, I've never felt like it was gonna get stuck and I've never been afraid to pull into something wondering if I would be able to get out.

Cars looking good with the snow in the background Ryan.

And dang, your work bay looks just like my friends (Chad) work bay in Baton Rouge where he works for BMW's Mini Coopers technician.
Like you, he spent thousands on tools for his job which gives a complete wow factor to investing in your work.

You snowboard too of just ski?
Got close to trying it out in Cali this year but school was too demanding for things like that.
Good luck with it and nice roof rack.
