nice, wonder what kinda of power
LE61T PTE6262 Powered
Price to be announced? Yes sir. I'll take one of those kits that will void my factory warranty, give you my car for a week, so you you can give me a car that may or may not outperform. The as with full factory warranty.
Only way this is a deal is if you get an extra 100+ hp for under ten gs
Reputable company though

Whats it gunna void?
Only damage they can prove was caused by the Supercharger...Which is covered under a 3/36 from Lingenfelter.
One Week...not a long time
May or may not perform...its lingenfelter..it will most likely do its job
How do you figure? SC puts strain on the entire engine in whole. Any damage, GM would just say it's aftermarket and not cover it due to being altered. I deal with it everyday.
Just by the SS.

Stock looking base Camaro with this supercharger sitting at a red light with a guy in a Ford GT sitting next to you, assuming this will put out that kind of power. Wouldn't that be fun?

ost as much fun as getting your car impounded for streetracing or better yet, killing someone.
Yes, I get the appeal of a "sleeper" 304hp camaro, tricked out with a "mines bigger than yours" liginfelter dash plaque too.
If you've got the money to pay cash for the supe pkg, then you could swing the extra $ per month for the v8.
Of course, some people just like to be different. And the v6 guys might need it to beat the 2011 mustang 6cyl

If your concerned about warranty you should never modify your car in any way
1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
You have to admit that the package has some credibility and significant potential.
I would not mind a base car with steelies, a blower and exhaust. If there were aftermarket tunning, a car with a self installed kit might very well be a great bargain.
But the fact remains.
You can't ignore the presence of the V8 when you turn the key and blip the throttle. If they cost the same, I'd rather the v8.
I find the appearance lacking in some way. It might be that the blower isn't in your face when you open the hood.
i would think it would be done for people who can afford the ss but cant afford the insurance. New york state is a killer when it comes to insurance i pay 180 a month and thats with no accidents no moving violations on a car that costs as much as a sofa lol
I owned a car with a one off custom turbo kit built by Lingenfelter. The fitment and welds were flawless. Only quality parts were used. The car was reliable. Lingenfelter is the standard I compare other shops to. I would not hesitate to buy a kit they sell if I were in the market for something like that.
LS = $22,680
1SS = $30,745
The base model would be roughly 8 grand cheaper. Say that is a $200 a month difference in payments and $100 a month cheaper in insurance. That is 300 a month right there. Say the Lingenfelter kit cost $3000 if you used the 300 a month you were saving it would only take you 10 months to pay for the supercharger kit and then from there on out you would be saving 300 a month.

yeah, because no one has ever raced someone to 40 pulling away from a red light. Not everything has to be two punk kids running down some dark road at 120. Seriously!

I agree 100%, but don't hold your breath for companies like HPT to jump right on support for the V6 model. They might hurry up to get you basics like rev/speed limiters (just enough to charge you the credits), but you won't see enough tables to properly tune a supercharged set up. They are not fans of the direct injection/bosch controllers and hence give us (bosch guys) peanuts for support compared to LSx engines, or even the LSJ.
It's really a shame, because with the proper support, a "tuner" package would rule. Not to get too far off topic, but so would a twin GT3076r set up
if the tuning were available
I think someone built a similar car for Jay Leno. Yep found the article dated 11/13/09. It was at Sema was the V-6 with two turbo's.
Today, I have a new respect for any turbo done right on any car. For several years I've followed 10.5 drag radial cars. Silly fast 6 and 7 second 1/4 mile race cars on 12" street legal tires.
